Founded in 1934, The Ladies of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College and Holy Cross College is a social organization that fosters friendships and promotes life-long enrichment through educational, cultural and volunteer activities.

We welcome current and retired faculty and staff, spouses of faculty and staff, graduate students, alumnae, spouses of alumni, and other women who admire and respect the mission of the schools in the tri-campus community.

Upcoming Events and Programs

From guest lectures to community outings and so much more, programs are offered for the entire membership throughout the academic year. By attending the monthly programs, members enjoy time together, as well as a variety of program topics and the many opportunities provided.

  • Walking Tour of Wellfield Botanical Gardens

    Thursday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m.

    1011 North Main Street, Elkhart, Indiana

    LND/SMC/HCC member Meg Mitzel will lead our group on this one hour, comfortable walk through the gardens

    . Those attending are asked to meet outside the entrance to the Gardens. Admission fee is $10.00 – cash only. Following the tour, members may enjoy social time as beverages are available for purchase in the gift shop. Wellfield features many small sitting areas to be enjoyed over beverages.

    The Wellfield Botanical Gardens, located in Elkhart, Indiana, offer endless possibilities for discovery! From leisurely strolls around the ½ mile Promenade Trail to exploring side trails and themed gardens, you’ll find something for everyone.

    In memory of deceased members, family and those remembered through our Remembrance Card program during the past year.

    Annual Business Meeting Immediately following Mass, Vincent Hall Atrium

    Enjoy fellowship and light refreshments during social time prior to the meeting. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend to vote in our new Board.

  • Annual Spring Scholarship Luncheon PAST EVENT

    April 12 12 p.m.

    Morris Park Country Club South Bend, Indiana

    The cost is $40 per person.

    You may register online or mail in the form found in the February Newsletter. We will welcome Fr. Bob Dowd and honor this year’s Scholarship Recipients.

    Non-member female guests will be welcome to attend.

Scholarship Funds

The Ladies of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College Scholarship supports the education of local area female students who are pursuing their undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College and Holy Cross College.
